Stay Down

Album launch

Thursday 21 March, 7.30PM - 8.30PM

After a year focused on vocal producing for other artists and mentoring young musicians, Caiti slowly pieced together a collection of new songs for an album she'll call Glitter Shivers. The first song to be released on March 21st is an ode to acknowledging and defying imposter syndrome in the veil of a hyper RnB pop bounce song called Stay Down. Caiti will be joined by some of her heroes on stage as she shares stories and new demos from her most recent work.

Merry-Go-Round launch

Thursday 11 April, 7.30PM - 8.30PM

Enchanting soulstress Juran has been exploring a new sound since relocating to Darwin from East Arnhem land 18 months ago, and is ready to share her voice. Her new song Merry-Go-Round, born in the wake of a yoyo relationship, is quite simply a beautiful expression of pain and beauty; reluctance and self awareness. Join her and her band of local musicians as she unpacks the adventures that lead her to her rebirth of sound and storytelling.

Rachel Rachel

Album launch

Thursday 23 May, 7.30PM - 8.30PM

A long time in the making, Rachel Rachel's second album/EP *Insert* is here and she is returning to Darwin from Newcastle to share the journey that led to its creation. Stunning songwriter and creator of ear worms, Rachel's engaging and intimate performances are laced with her witty and often hilarious storytelling.

Album launch

Thursday 30 May, 7.30PM - 8.30PM

Together the duo invite audiences to rest in patterns and trance-like repetitions using Indonesian scales and sounds passed through samplers and drum machines. Their work is an opportunity to reach beyond the surface layers of culture to grow toward a greater sense of belonging. It is a processing of their identity in relation to their Indonesian diaspora as well as an opportunity to talk to the inner children of themselves and others who come from a “third culture” while they navigate understanding Bahasa Indonesia and speaking in sounds.

Melanie Mununggurr

Album launch

Thursday 27 June, 7.30PM - 8.30PM

The debut album of Djapu mother, poet, storyteller and performer Melanie Mununggurr is finally here. Celebrated for her spellbinding performances of poetry and spoken word, whether it's live on a beachside stage for the NATSIA awards or behind the enthralling visuals of the NRLW season premiere campaign; Melanie's voice is special. A pin could drop as she articulates her writing which is all-encompassing of her identity as Yolngu; the triumphs and struggles of motherhood, neurodiversity, being queer and connections to land and culture. *Insert Album* is a collection of spoken word songs produced into the world through close knit collaborations with local Territorian producers.
