Darwin’s Brown’s Mart Joins National AusArt Day with 12-Hour Phone-a- Thon
Brown’s Mart, Darwin’s home of Territory Performing Arts since 1972, is proud to take part in the inaugural AusArt Day on Thursday 23 October
2025, a new national giving day created by Creative Australia to elevate the value of the arts and grow philanthropic support. As part of the celebrations, Brown’s Mart will host a 12-hour fundraising Phone-a-Thon from 8am to 8pm, with phones manned by Brown’s Mart artists, media personalities, community leaders and theatre favourites.
The event will include live calls, special appearances, hourly donation tally updates and plenty of theatrical fun, with proceeds directly supporting Brown’s Mart’s work in developing artists and producing new Territory stories.
“Brown’s Mart has been the beating heart of independent theatre in the Territory for over 50 years. AusArt Day is our chance to celebrate that legacy, while securing the next 50 years of theatre in Darwin,”
Every donation supports the creation of theatre locally, artist development and the creative heart of the Territory.
