About Our Venue

Brown's Mart is a multi-performance space in the heart of Darwin CBD located at 12 Smith St, Darwin.

The Brown's Mart precinct includes the heritage Brown's Mart Theatre, Brown's Mart Studio (also home to Happy Yess), Brown's Mart Courtyard and our Bar/Info Desk. We also have a rehearsal room, Technical Office and an Administrative Office on site. There is parking close by throughout the City, and we are located right next to the CBD Bus depot.

 

Mobility

Brown's Mart Theatre, Studio, Courtyard and Happy Yess are Wheelchair Accessible spaces. There is an Accessible bathroom located in the Theatre Foyer. Brown's Mart Rehearsal Room is located up a flight of stairs.

Brown's Mart shows are 'first in first seated', so if you have access needs in regards to seating please let your Front Of House team know and you'll be given priority seating.

 

Toilets

Accessible, urinal and stall toilets are available.

 

Companion tickets

If you require a carer or companion ticket please speak to the Brown's Mart team and we'll book this for you over the phone, 8981 5522 during business hours or at the door if not sold out.

 

Parking

Patrons requiring disabled parking are permitted to park in the service lane out the front of the Venue, next to the Bus Interchange.

State Square Underground car park is around 250m away. The car park entry is via Herbert Street off Mitchell Street and the car park is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This includes offering overnight stays.

Brown's Mart is looking to have performance interpreted each year, events being interpreted in Auslan will have this information included in the marketing.

Dogs

Guide and support dogs are welcome throughout the precinct. Our courtyard events are friendly for all dogs on leashes.
